Reading groups are formed based on decoding and comprehension levels. Students continue Orton-Gillingham-based instruction with age-appropriate texts that expand vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
Students progress from foundational problem-solving to pre-algebra concepts, learning through small-group and individualized instruction. By teaching each math skill to mastery, students build confidence and prepare for high school-level coursework.
Building on Gaynor’s Writing Program, Middle School students take on more complex assignments, including research papers and persuasive essays. They develop personal systems for organizing ideas and expressing themselves clearly, preparing them for future academic writing.
Students explore world cultures and ancient civilizations, then progress to American history. Through projects and discussions, they learn how societies evolve and how historical themes connect to the present.
The science curriculum includes biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science. Students engage in hands-on experiments, learn to write lab reports, and present scientific findings, culminating in an independent research project.
